Grounding Practices
Taking time to connect with your mind, body, and soul.
Creating a Space for Your Mindful Practices
These practices can be done anywhere but if you are wanting to add them to your daily routine, something that I have found is that designating a space within your home for them can help with consistency. Download more information below and have fun with it!
Square Breath
I love this practice because you can do it ANYWHERE and no one would notice that you are calming your nervous system and grounding into the present.
Body Scan
What sensations do the bottom of your feet feel throughout the week? You probably don’t recall many because often times we live in our minds and not our bodies, this is a great practice to help you ground in the present within your body.
Brain Dump
If your mind has been feeling like a scribble lately or you just have too many things on your mind and don’t know where to start - try a brain dump!
Journaling
Journaling is so much more than documenting your day to day. It gives your thoughts, emotions, & memories a space to come out - even the ones that you didn’t know took up space within you.
Affirmations
Affirmations can be a powerful tool to change your conscious and subconscious beliefs about yourself and the world.
Gratitude
As FirstGens it is important that we change our relationship with gratitude since growing up it was often used to invalidate our needs.
